This year, Luna was the most popular name for female dogs. Rover’s yearly list of the most popular top cat names shows that the same applies to female cats. It’s all about the moon in 2023.

In 2023, Oliver was still the most popular name for male cats. Many people also choose to name their cats after food. What’s that? Nice name for a cat.

    According to Rover’s analysis of its database of millions of pet owners, the popularity of numerous outstanding food names increased in 2018.

    This year, the demand for roll increased by 182%, surpassing that of green beans (162%), casserole (102%), s’more (102%), tamales (102%), and morels (82%).
